Full Trailer: “Little House on the Prairie”

Netflix has premiered the full trailer for its reboot of “Little House on the Prairie” which launches on the streamer on July 9th.

The series follows the Ingalls family as as they leave Wisconsin to begin a new life, settling in Independence, Kansas in the 1870s–90s. The show depicts life in a small agrarian community during those hard times.

The show is described as “part hopeful family drama, part epic survival tale, and part origin story of the American West.”

Rebecca Sonnenshine (“The Boys,” “Vampire Diaries”) will serve as showrunner and executive producer on the series dubbed a ‘reimagining’ of the original 1930s book series by Laura Ingalls Wilder.

The cast includes Alice Halsey as Laura Ingalls, Skywalker Hughes as Mary, Luke Bracey as Pa, and Crosby Fitzgerald as Ma.

The books have sold over 73 million copies to date, while the original NBC series aired for nine seasons and 204 episodes between 1974 and 1982.

CBS Studios and Anonymous Content Studios are producing the new version which has already been renewed for a second season.
