Filmmaker Zack Snyder has taken to Instagram again with another photo of Henry Cavill dressed up as Superman, this time sharing a new version of an old photo.
When he auditioned for “Man of Steel,” Cavill famously had to slip on the Christopher Reeve version of the suit for costume test photos.
Two black-and-white shots previously were available – one of him in a chair, the other standing outside. Now, new colour versions from that same outdoor photo shoot have emerged.
One is a long shot with the other more of a medium shot – in both cases, he’s outside in the bright sun, even as only his face and the ‘S’ are strongly lit. Snyder captioned the photos:
“Henry Cavill. The original Superman suit. This photo. It was undeniable… With the last image I shared, and this one we showed WB everyone agreed: Henry Cavill was Superman. That’s where the journey began.”
The original black-and-white version of the photo was originally shared eight years ago on Vero.
