Netflix has announced a February 19th premiere date for the third season of its hit action series “The Night Agent”. The new run arrives almost a year after the second season premiered back in January this year.
Gabriel Basso returns as Peter Sutherland alongside Amanda Warren as Catherine Weaver. Ward Horton’s Governor Richard Hagan and Albert Jones as Deputy Director Aiden Mosely have been upgraded to series regulars for the new season.
Joining them will be David Lyons as a former spy lured out of retirement, Jennifer Morrison as the First Lady, Stephen Moyer as a top hitman and Genesis Rodriguez as a reporter. Callum Vinson and Suraj Sharma also star.
Fola Evans-Akingbola’s secret service agent Chelsea Arrington, who sat out much of the second season aside from a brief cameo at the end, will be back as a series regular.
In the teaser, Peter is seen entering a packed soccer stadium and spotting his target (Sharma). Most of the new season was shot in New York, but some filming took place in Istanbul.
Shawn Ryan serves as creator, executive producer and showrunner on the series.
