Universal Pictures has released more official photos from Christopher Nolan’s “The Odyssey” today, these ones following the first reveal photos yesterday.
While those previous photos showed Matt Damon as Odysseus and some of his men, these ones put the focus on the two most important characters outside of Damon’s role – Anne Hathaway as Odysseus’ wife Queen Penelope, and Tom Holland as their son Telemachus.
The Hathaway photo also shows a brief glimpse of Mia Goth as Melantho, one of Penelope’s maids. Robert Pattinson, Zendaya, Charlize Theron, Lupita Nyong’o, Jon Bernthal, Benny Safdie, Elliot Page, Himesh Patel, Samantha Morton, Will Yun Lee and more also star.
The photos, all released by Empire, are expected to build towards the release of the film’s first trailer with footage expected to be attached to all IMAX copies of “Avatar: Fire and Ash”.
Christopher Nolan also confirms to the magazine that this will be the first feature film to be shot entirely with IMAX film cameras. He adds: “I did not destroy an IMAX camera on this film. I have destroyed several in my time, but these ones survived The Odyssey.”
“The Odyssey” opens in cinemas on July 17th.
