Depp, Ti West Team For “A Christmas Carol”

In his biggest project since his lawsuit with ex-wife Amber Heard, Johnny Depp is set to star in a new take on Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol” for Paramount Pictures.

“X” and “Pearl” filmmaker Ti West will direct the project titled “Ebenezer: A Christmas Carol” which has already set a November 13th 2026 release date.

The project is dubbed “a thrilling ghost story set in Dickens’ London, following one man’s supernatural journey to face his past, present and future and fight for a second chance.”

Depp will play Scrooge, while Andrea Riseborough is also attached to star in the project that has a script by Nathaniel Halpern. Emma Watts is producing.

Depp will next be seen in the Lionsgate thriller “Day Drinker” which was shot earlier this year and is expected to be released in 2026.

“Nosferatu” filmmaker Robert Eggers is lining up a new “A Christmas Carol” adaptation as well, the project tipped to be his next after he finishes his currently in production “Werwulf”.
