Amazon MGM Studios has unveiled the official trailer for the action comedy “Playdate” which will premiere on their Prime Video service next month.
Kevin James stars as Brian, a man who agrees to a playdate with stay-at-home dad Jeff (Alan Ritchson) and their two sons.
What should’ve been a quiet afternoon goes off the rails ad Brian finds himself thrust into a chaotic scramble to stay alive as they are pursued by a ruthless team of mercenaries.
Brian stumbles through one ridiculous obstacle after another, his zero tactical skills a stark contrast to Jeff’s oddly prepared demeanor.
Isla Fisher, Alan Tudyk, Sarah Chalke, Benjamin Pajak, Banks Pierce, Hiro Kanagawa, and Stephen Root co-star.
Luke Greenfield (“The Girl Next Door,” “Half Brothers”) directs and Neil Goldman penned the script while Greenfield, Jason Benoit, Sean Patrick O’Reilly, Mark Fasano, and Jeffrey Greenstein produce.
“Playdate” launches on the streamer on November 12th.
