Production has officially wrapped on the second season of the “Star Wars” series “Ahsoka”.
Actors Natasha Liu Bordizzo who plays Sabine Wren, and Eman Esfadi who plays Ezra Bridger, both posted photos and videos of themselves commemorating the end of shooting.
The new season held its wrap party the other week but it’s only now actually finished filming – the end coming approximately six months after filming got underway in late April.
The eight-episode second season will see Rory McCann take over the role of Baylan Skoll from the late Ray Stevenson. Also back are Rosario Dawson as Ahsoka Tano, Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Hera Syndulla, Lars Mikkelsen as Grand Admiral Thrawn, Ivanna Sakhno as Shin Hati, David Tennant as the voice of Huyang, and Hayden Christensen as Anakin Skywalker.
The characters of Chopper, Enoch, Admiral Ackbar, and Garazeb “Zeb” Orrelios are also expected to appear.
The first season aired back in late 2023 and ended with several characters trapped in an entirely different galaxy on the planet Peridea, while the exiled Thrawn has made his way back to the main “Star Wars” galaxy.
The new season of eight episodes, all written by Dave Filoni, will reportedly not end on a cliffhanger like the first. The first season was primarily shot using StageCraft tech at the same facilities used by “The Mandalorian” series. This second season was shot in the UK and uses a blend of technologies and location shooting.
