FOX has cancelled its animated comedy series “The Great North” after five seasons.

Nick Offerman, Jenny Slate, Will Forte, Paul Rust, Aparna Nancherla, Dulce Sloan, Megan Mullally, and Alanis Morissette lent their voices to the series about the Alaskan adventures of the Tobin family.

Debuting January 2021, the series was created and written by “Bob’s Burgers” executive producers Wendy Molyneux and Lizzie Molyneux-Logelin, as well as writer Minty Lewis. The Molyneux sisters served as executive producers and showrunners.

Michael Thorn, President of Fox Television Network, says in a statement: “We’re so grateful for everything Wendy, Lizzie, Loren and the amazing cast and crew put into ‘The Great North’. It’s difficult to say goodbye, but we’re thankful for the five hilarious seasons ‘The Great North’ brought to the iconic Animation Domination lineup.”

The news follows on from FOX announcing in April that it had renewed “The Simpsons,” “Family Guy,” and “Bob’s Burgers” for four more seasons each, while bringing back “American Dad” and also giving it a four-seaosn pickup.

Other FOX animated shows include “Krapopolis,” “Grimsburg,” and “Universal Basic Guys”.
