“Halloween” Game Trailer & Date Revealed

Illfonic

A September 8th 2026 release date has been announced for developer IllFonic’s new video game based on the “Halloween” film franchise, along with a new trailer showing off the gameplay.

The project is dubbed an asymmetric stealth horror game and will feature both single and multiplayer modes. Set in 1978 in Haddonfield, a new trailer shows off some of the gameplay from the title which was made in Unreal Engine 5.

Players can either stick to the shadows as Civilians, seeking out Haddonfield residents to warn them and searching for a way to contact the authorities.

Or, play as Michael Myers where you can find ways to prevent the police from ruining his favourite holiday.

There’s a story mode, playing with bots offline, or facing others in online multiplayer, with each mode rewarding stealth, strategy, and skilful play.

Gun Interactive, Compass International Pictures and Further Front are helping develop the game which will hit PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. The announcement was made during PlayStation’s State of Play on Wednesday.
