Wicked: For Good
A 138 minute runtime has been set for “Wicked: For Good,” the adaptation of the back half of the famed stage musical clocking in considerably shorter than the 160 minute runtime of last year’s first part.
The film’s soundtrack, releasing November 21st, will include two new songs written especially for the forthcoming film by Stephen Schwartz – “No Place Like Home” performed by Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba, and “The Girl in the Bubble” performed by Ariana Grande as Glinda. Both titles are expected to be Oscar-eligible. [Source: Variety]
Angry Birds 3
MrBeast, Salish Matte0 and Smosh members Anthony Padilla and Ian Hecox have joined the voice cast of the third “The Angry Birds Movie” at Paramount Pictures. The latter two will reprise their respective roles of Hal and Bubbles from the two previous films. The film has been moved up a month and will now open December 23rd 2026.
They join previously announced castmembers Jason Sudeikis as Red, Josh Gad as Chuck, Rachel Bloom as Silver and Danny McBride as Bomb along with Emma Myers, Keke Palmer, Tim Robinson, Lily James, Marcello Hernandez, Walker Scobell, Sam Richardson, Anna Cathcart, Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, Nikki Glaser, James Austin Johnson and Psalm West. Kpop: Demon Hunters
A new MPA listing has confirmed that an animated short film titled “A KPop: Demon Hunters Story” has landed an official PG rating for “some action/violence and scary images. This marks the first talk of such a short, but a rating suggests it will be coming soon.
The Chair Company
HBO has premiered the trailer for its new comedy series “The Chair Company” starring Tim Robinson. The series begins after an embarrassing incident at work which leads to a man (Tim Robinson) who finds himself investigating a far-reaching conspiracy.
Lake Bell, Sophia Lillis, Will Price, Joseph Tudisco and Lou Diamond Phillips also star in the series which premieres October 12th with new episode weekly through November 30th.
The Running Man
Paramount Pictures has premiered a new behind-the-scenes featurette for Edgar Wright’s “The Running Man” which opens in cinemas in November. Based on the 1982 novel by Stephen King, this new take stars Glen Powell, Katy O’Brian, Daniel Ezra, Karl Glusman, Josh Brolin, Lee Pace, Jayme Lawson, Michael Cera, Emilia Jones, William H. Macy, David Zayas, Sean Hayes, and Colman Domingo. The film opens in cinemas on November 14th.
