Netflix has premiered the first trailer for “The Woman in Cabin 10,” the Keira Knightley-led thriller based on Ruth Ware’s “The Woman in Cabin 10”.
The story is essentially a spin on Hitchcock’s “The Lady Vanishes,” but this one takes place aboard a superyacht owned by the ultrawealthy.
Knightley plays a famed journalist onboard for a travel assignment. She witnesses a passenger thrown overboard late at night, only to be told that it didn’t happen, as all passengers and crew are accounted for.
Despite no one believing her, she continues to look for answers, putting her own life in danger.
Guy Pearce, David Ajala, Art Malik, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Kaya Scodelario, David Morrissey, Daniel Ings and Hannah Waddingham co-star.
Filmed aboard the $150 million superyacht Savannah and shot last year in the UK, Simon Stone helms from a script by Joe Shrapnel and Anna Waterhouse. The film is set to debut on the streamer on October 10th.
