“Severance” Star Joins Next Spider-Man

Emmy nominee Tramell Tillman has joined the cast of Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios’ “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” which is currently in production.

Details on his character remain under wraps, but he’s set to join Tom Holland’s Spider-Man, Zendaya’s M.J., Jacob Batalon’s Ned Leeds, Jon Bernthal’s Punisher, Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk, along with Sadie Sink and Liza Colón-Zayas in undisclosed roles.

The project was initially filmed in Glasgow before production was shifted to the UK, where filming is now continuing primarily on sound stages. A rumor has emerged at DanielRPK that Florence Pugh will reprise her MCU role of Yelena in the film, but the trades have yet to confirm that.

“Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings” filmmaker Destin Daniel Cretton is directing the film which is currently slated to open July 31st 2026

Tillman is best known for his role as Seth Milchick in Apple TV+ series “Severance” and is up for a supporting actor Emmy this year – the first openly gay Black man to be recognized in the category.

Recently, he starred alongside Tom Cruise in “Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning” as a submarine captain. He’s currently shooting Lena Dunham’s “Good Sex” and the Amazon film “Your Mother Your Mother Your Mother”.
