Netflix has cancelled the Arnold Schwarzenegger-led action series “Fubar” after two seasons.
The series proved a hit back in 2023 when it launched, but the recent second season premiere in June failed to get any traction beyond only making the Nielsen’s streaming originals top 10 for one week.
Combined with the cost of such a series and Netflix opted not to renew. Schwarzenegger starred as Luke Brunner, a veteran CIA operative who, up until recently, was on the verge of retirement.
After his last mission in saving another operative, who just so happened to be his daughter, he’s back and face-to-face with new villains. This one is an old flame from Luke’s past who threatens to destroy the world…if she doesn’t destroy his life first.
Monica Barbaro, Milan Carter, Fortune Feimster, Travis Van Winkle, Fabiana Udenio, Aparna Brielle, Guy Burnet, Andy Buckley, Carrie-Anne Moss, Jay Baruchel, Barbara Eve Harris and Scott Thompson co-starred.
The series was created, showrun and executive produced by “Scorpion” alum Nick Santora, with Schwarzenegger among the many executive producers. Skydance Television produced the scond season.
