The Chosen
Amazon MGM Studios and 5&2 Studios have confirmed that they will release the sixth season finale of faith-based drama “The Chosen” as an in cinemas exclusive on March 12th 2027, the film will portray the crucifixion of Jesus.
In addition the seventh season premiere, which deals with the resurrection of Jesus, will also begin with a feature film which will open on March 31st 2028. Both films are “being produced as standalone films designed for the big screen experience.” The news comes ahead of the fifth season’s launch on June 15th this year. [Source: Deadline]
Jaws @ 50
National Geographic’s SharkFest celebration has just set the premiere date of Laurent Bouzereau’s retrospective making of documentary “Jaws @ 50” which will hit NatGeo on July 10th ahead of streaming on Disney+ and Hulu from July 11th.
Made with Steven Spielberg‘s full participation and approval, the new doco features a ton of exclusive interviews with cast and crew along with famed filmmakers and artists inspired by the work such as J.J. Abrams, James Cameron, George Lucas, Jordan Peele, Steven Soderbergh, Guillermo del Toro and Robert Zemeckis.
Dexter: Resurrection
Paramount+ has released a tease of the first official trailer for “Dexter: Resurrection” ahead of its arrival tomorrow. The follow-up to “Dexter: New Blood,” this takes place weeks after Dexter was shot and sees him resuscitated and headed to New York to make amends with his son.

King of the Hill
Hulu has announced an August 4th premiere date for the revival of Mike Judge’s animated comedy series “King of the Hill,” and has released the updated opening credits for the series which you can see below.
The new run of ten episodes will pick up after the show’s original ending and sees Hank and Peggy Hill return to a changed Arlen, Texas to reconnect with old friends. The new season will co-star Mike Judge, Kathy Najimy, Pamela Adlon, Johnny Hardwick, Stephen Root, Lauren Tom, and Toby Huss.
