Toho has released a new 15-second tease for its “Godzilla Minus One” film, the clip likely released ahead of a second full trailer to come shortly.
The project marks the newest period live-action “Godzilla” movie and unfolds in an already devastated post-WW2 Japan where the kaiju goes on a rampage. Further plot specifics are under wraps.
Takashi Yamazaki, who handled the visual effects on 2016’s “Shin Godzilla,” returns to write and direct this outing which is the second of the live-action Reiwa era “Godzilla” films following that 2016 entry.
It comes alongside the “Monarch: Legacy of Monsters” series premiering next month on Apple TV+ along with the feature “Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire” hitting cinemas in May next year.
Ryunosuke Kamiki, Minami Hamabe, Yuki Yamada, Munetaka Aoki, Hidetaka Yoshioka, Sakura Ando and Kuranosuke Sasaki star in the film which premieres in Tokyo early next month.
“Godzilla Minus One” is set to premiere in Japan on November 3rd and will get a U.S. theatrical release on December 1st which includes an IMAX release.
