Back in May, a former licensing director at 20th Century Fox confirmed Disney and Netflix were reportedly sitting on an already finished ten-episode “Alien vs. Predator” anime series.

He explained how the project, which had a story by Eric Calderon and Dave Baker who served as Western animation consultants on the project, came about.

Set sometime after the events of “Alien vs. Predator” and “Alien: Resurrection,” the project also was said to have hired Shinji Aramaki (“Blade Runner: Black Lotus,” “Harlock: Space Pirate”) as director.

Recently Aramaki appeared at this weekend’s Asian pop-culture convention Otakon where he reportedly shared screenshots and designs and confirmed the title of the anime was “Aliens vs. Predator: Annihilation” according to Anime News Network (via AVP Galaxy.

He also said the story of the anime takes place on a giant immigration ship but sadly didn’t provide more details. Sketches shown included Alien and Predator factions from the shared universe, along with an Alien Queen.

Aramaki wouldn’t show more in case of the possibility that the anime does see a release eventually one day.

Speaking of the “Alien” franchise, it will be coming to the “Dead by Daylight” game soon with a teaser trailer unleashed today which you can see below.
