Months after recovering from his terrifying accident, Jeremy Renner has given an upbeat update about his future on screen.
Renner is best known to a whole generation for his work as Clint Barton/Hawkeye in the Marvel Studios films and his own Disney+ series.
He has spent the first half of this year recovering from a snowplow accident on New Year’s Day that nearly killed him and left him with major injuries. Following weeks of resting and surgery, Renner returned home and has been undergoing recovery ever since.
Appearing at a recent panel at the Phoenix Fan Fusion event, Renner was asked about his return to acting and according to one attendee who posted a summary on Twitter:
“Renner says he’s not going anywhere and is going to continue acting, depending on what his daughter allows him to do. If #Marvel asks him back, he’ll be there in a heartbeat”
Renner has been keeping his followers updated about his health, physical therapy and progress – revealing last month that he’s now able to walk without the assistance of a cane.
The Hawkeye series saw him passing the mantle to Hailee Steinfeld’s Kate Bishop, though it doesn’t preclude a brief appearance by the actor.
