First Trailer: “All the Light We Cannot See”

Netflix has premiered the trailer for its four-part mini-series “All the Light We Cannot See” based on Anthony Doerr’s 2013 Pulitzer Prize-winning best-selling novel.

Directed by Shawn Levy (“Free Guy,” “Deadpool 3”), the limited series has newcomer Aria Mia Loberti in the starring role of Marie-Laure LeBlanc, a blind French girl who flees German-occupied Paris with her father during WW2 to prevent a famed diamond from falling into Nazi hands.

Louis Hofmann of “Dark” fame co-stars as Werner, an orphaned German boy who joins a brutal Hitler Youth academy and is later tasked with tracking down illegal broadcasts for the regime.

His life becomes intertwined with Marie-Laure’s as she and her dad, Daniel LeBlanc (Mark Ruffalo), seek refuge with her Uncle Etienne (Hugh Laurie) who transmits radio broadcasts as part of the resistance.

The series tracks the lives of the young pair across a decade. Also onboard are Lars Eidinger, Marion Bailey as Madame Manec, and and Nell Sutton as the younger version of Marie-Laure.

Levy (“Stranger Things,” “Shadow and Bone”) will produce through his 21 Laps production company. He also directed all four episodes, whislt Steven Knight penned the scripts for the series which is slated to premiere on Netflix on November 2nd.
