Marvel star Jeremy Renner made an appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” tonight. The actor walked onto the set with a cane as he sat down for an interview.
Looking in remarkable health considering, even dancing a little at one point, Kimmel said: “Now if there was any question as to who the toughest Avenger was, that’s settled now. Forget [Chris] Hemsworth, forget these guys, it’s you; you’re the guy.”
Renner’s appearance follows his sit-down interview with Diane Sawyer last week, which marked his first discussion about the accident involving the 14,300-pound snowcat – one which left him with more than thirty broken bones.
He revealed his ribcage has been rebuilt with metal which will stay there for life, along with metal plates in his face to support his eyesocket and titanium rods in one of his legs. He’s learning to speak again as his skull and jaw are being held together by “screws and rubber bands”.
Kimmel also said at one point in the interview tonight: “I think I speak for all of us when I say, thank God, look at you, you look great. We’re glad to see you here.”
Renner was out promoting the new Disney+ series “Rennervations”, which begins streaming on Wednesday. All four episodes premiere that day, and actors Anthony Mackie, Vanessa Hudgens, Sebastian Yatra and Anil Kapoor all appear.
