“Tales of the Jedi” co-creator Dave Filoni has confirmed that there will be a second season of that animated series.
Filoni made the announcement during the 15th anniversary panel for “Star Wars: The Clone Wars” at the Star Wars Celebration today.
Filoni said: “Tales of the Jedi was so fun the first time. I did some more.” There were no further specifics about the upcoming season such as episode count.
The original season last year consisted of two three-episode arcs dealing with the lives of Ahsoka Tano and Count Dooku. The Ahsoka episodes followed her at various points in her life, the Dooku ones were before his fall to the dark side.
The first season, which consisted of 15-minute episodes, premiered in October with all episodes released at once to plenty of critical acclaim. It boasted several notable voice talents including Liam Neeson reprising his role of Qui-Gon Jinn.
Also like with “Star Wars: The Clone Wars” and “Star Wars: Rebels,” Kevin Kiner composed music for the series
By its anthology nature it could therefore follow any Jedi character in any time period. It’s the second “Star Wars” animated anthology series to hit the streamer following “Star Wars Visions”.
