Jake Gyllenhaal made a surprise appearance at UFC 285 in Las Vegas, Nevada on Friday and Saturday.

A ripped and shirtless Gyllenhaal was shooting scenes for “Edge of Tomorrow” and “Go” director Doug Liman’s upcoming reimagining of the iconic 1989 overly macho Patrick Swayze-led film “Road House”.

Gyllenhaal plays an ex-UFC fighter in the update and on Friday had scenes where he had a weigh-in with former UFC fighter Jay Hieron who plays his opponent in some scenes in the new film.

Following the weigh-in, they faced off and Hieron slaps Gyllenhaal – all part of the film. Additionally, former UFC champion Conor McGregor, who is also in the film, showed up to stir up the crowd.

Then just minutes ago, Gyllenhaal and Hieron got in the ring to film scenes together as part of a match.

In the movie, Gyllenhaal plays a former UFC fighter who takes on a job as a bouncer at a rough-and-tumble roadhouse in the Florida Keys. However, he soon discovers that everything is not as it seems in this tropical paradise.

Billy Magnussen, Daniela Melchior, Lukas Gage, JD Pardo, Joaquim de Almeida, Darren Barnet, Kevin Carroll, Travis Van Winkle, Hannah Love Lanier and Gbemisola Ikumelo co-star. Joel Silver, who produced the original, returns for the new take.

Amazon Studios is expected to release “Road House” either sometime late this year or early next. You can watch the weigh-in video here and the faux fight here.
