The Boys
Simon Pegg has confirmed on Instagram he has completed filming his scenes for the fourth season of “The Boys” on Amazon Prime. Pegg is returning to reprise his role as Hughie’s father, Mr. Campbell, and is joined in the new run by Rosemarie DeWitt as Hughie’s mom, along with Rob Benedict and Elliot Knight. Fraction & DeConnick
Award-winning comic authors Matt Fraction and Kelly Sue DeConnick have signed a major overall deal with Amazon Prime Video and will develop TV series adaptations of their comics titles “Sex Criminals” and “Bitch Planet”.
The former follows an actor and a librarian who discover that they share the ability to freeze time when they climax. The latter follows a group of ‘non-compliant’ women sent to a correctional facility on another planet after disobeying the patriarchy. [Source: Above the Line]
Bel-Air
Peacock has unveiled the full trailer for the upcoming second season of its hit drama “Bel-Air” which returns on February 23rd. In addition, Former “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” alum Tatyana Ali is joining the cast, appearing in the second season as an English teacher.
In the new run, Will is trying to live by his own rules by living independently and earning money from street basketball games. A new figure comes into his life who challenges what he’s learned in Bel-Air and competes for control of his influence.
Extrapolations
Apple has released photos from “Extrapolations,” Scott Z. Burns’ upcoming episodic anthology series about climate change that boasts an impressive cast including Meryl Streep, Tobey Maguire, Forest Whitaker, Marion Cotillard, Kit Harrington, Edward Norton, Gemma Chan, Matthew Rhys, Daveed Diggs, Diane Lane, Yara Shahidi and more.
The series features eight interconnected stories which explore the life-altering choices people are forced to make in the wake of an escalated climate crisis. The first three episodes premiere on Friday, March 17th followed by weekly episodes through to the end of April.
