PlayStation Teases 2023 Game Line-Up

Sony Interactive Ent.

Sony Interactive Entertainment has released a trailer offering a reel of the most anticipated games on the PlayStation platform in 2023, including some exclusives only to the PS5, some that will be only PS5 & PC, and some third-party titles available on all platforms.

The list includes the biggest PlayStation 5-only games of the year – “Marvel’s Spider-Man 2” and “Final Fantasy XVI” – along with other PS5 exclusives like the “Horizon Forbidden West” expansion ‘Burning Shores’ and “Stellar Blade” (formerly known as “Project Eve”).

There’s also “Forspoken” and “Pacific Drive” which are launching on PS5 and PC as well, and PSVR2 titles like “Horizon: Call of the Mountain” which are among the launch titles for the VR unit arriving in stores on February 22nd along with others like “Firewall Ultra” at a later date.

There’s also third-party titles coming to the three major platforms (PS5, PC, Xbox Series X|S) such as “Star Wars Jedi: Survivor,” “Assassin’s Creed Mirage,” “Resident Evil 4,” “Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League,” the “Dead Space” remake, “Street Fighter 6,” “Hogwarts Legacy,” “The Lords of the Fallen,” “Synduality” the “Alone in the Dark” remake, “Wild Hearts, and “Eternights” along with indies “Tchia” and “Season: A Letter to the Future”.

Speaking during the company’s CES showcase earlier this month, SIE president Jim Ryan claimed December was PS5’s biggest sales month yet, with the console having sold over 30 million units since its November 2020 launch.

All goes up against a resurging Microsoft who, after an utterly barren 2022 with only a few smaller GamePass indies of note, comes roaring back with “Starfield,” “Redfall,” “Forza Motorsport” along with the “S.T.A.L.K.E.R.” and “The Outer Worlds” sequels whilst Nintendo is all about the year’s most anticipated game – “The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom”.
