“Agatha: Coven of Chaos” All Set To Shoot

Filming is set to kick off tomorrow in Atlanta on Marvel’s “Agatha: Coven of Chaos” spin-off series starring Kathryn Hahn, and now a larger list of the cast and crew involved has emerged.

Jac Schaeffer, who serves as head writer and executive producer on the show just as she did on “WandaVision,” will reportedly serve as director of multiple episodes.

Joining her are Gandja Monteiro (“Wednesday,” “The Chi”) and Rachel Goldberg (“American Gods,” “The Boys: Gen V”). The new series is reported to be nine episodes long, so they’ll likely be handling three episodes each.

As previously reported, the expansive cast includes Hahn alongside the one and only Aubrey Plaza, “Heartstopper” breakout Joe Locke, stage legend Patti LuPone, comedian Sasheer Zamata, and “WandaVision” returnees Emma Caulfield and Debra Jo Rupp.

Just confirmed to be joining them are multiple other returnees from “WandaVision”, including David Payton, David Lengel, Asif Ali, Amos Glick, Brian Brightman, and Kate Forbes.

In addition, there are newcomers in the form of Miles Gutierrez-Riley, Okwui Okpokwasili and Maria Dizzia though their roles are under wraps, along with Plaza, Locke, and LuPone’s.

With so many returnees, it’s likely the series will continue on from the “WandaVision” finale with Hahn’s Agatha Harkness being “trapped” in her neighborly persona with no memory of what transpired or her witch origins.

Filming on “Agatha: Coven of Chaos” will run through until April 28th, and it’s expected to air on the Disney+ service in late 2023.
