Reese Witherspoon is set to both star in and executive produce the cheerleading-themed comedy series “All Stars” at Amazon Prime.
The story centers on a former American cheerleader (Witherspoon) who cons her way across the Atlantic to teach cheerleading at a school in England.
The streamer reportedly outbid multiple other outlets for the project and helped it along by giving the series a two-season, straight-to-series order.
The project hails from Aline Brosh McKenna (“Crazy Ex-Girlfriend,” “The Devil Wears Prada”) while Witherspoon and Lauren Neustadter produce.
Witherspoon currently stars in the Apple TV+ series “The Morning Show,” with that series’ third season nearing the end of production. She’ll also soon star in a sequel to “Election”.
