Netflix Cancels “Warrior Nun” After Two Seasons

Netflix

Netflix has cancelled its fantay series “Warrior Nun” after two seasons. The decision comes a month after the November 10th release of the show’s second season.

Though sporting a small fanbase, the recent season spent just three weeks in Netflix’s Weekly Top 10 for English-language series and peaked in fifth place.

Inspired by the manga, Simon Barry served as showrunner on the series which revolves around a 19-year-old woman (Alba Baptista) who wakes up in a morgue with a new lease on life and a divine artifact embedded in her back.

She discovers she now is part of an ancient order that has been tasked with fighting demons on Earth, and powerful forces representing both heaven and hell want to find and control her.

Kristina Tonteri-Young, Lorena Andrea, Toya Turner and Olivia Delcán also starred as the demon-fighting nuns.
