NBC has renewed is “Quantum Leap” series revival for a second season.

The renewal comes halfway through the Raymond Lee-led show’s first season, which has pulled in 2.0 rating and 10.8 million viewers across linear, digital and streaming platforms according to Nielsen.

This new take on the popular 1990s sci-fi drama is NBC’s best-ever drama launch on Peacock and the second-highest rating new broadcast series of the season in the 18-49 demographic.

Ernie Hudson, Caitlin Bassett, Mason Alexander Park and Nanrisa Lee co-star in the series that takes place decades after Dr. Sam Beckett (Scott Bakula) stepped into the Quantum Leap accelerator and vanished.

Now a new team led by Dr. Ben Song (Lee) has been assembled to restart the project in the hopes of understanding the mysteries behind the machine and the man who created it.

Whilst the original series was mostly standalone episodes, the new one blends episodic storytelling with overarching story threads.
