Eight Set For “Rings of Power” Season 2

Amazon Prime

Oliver Alvin-Wilson (“The Bay”), Stuart Bowman (“The Pact”), Gavi Singh Chera (“The Undeclared War”), William Chubb (“Vampire Academy”), Kevin Eldon (“Game of Thrones”), Will Keen (“Ridley Road”), Selina Lo (“Boss Level”), and Calam Lynch (“Bridgerton”) have all joined the cast of the second season of “The Lord of the Rings: The Rings Of Power” at Amazon Prime Video.

All eight will have recurring roles in the currently in-production sophomore run of the show which is filming in the United Kingdom. They join previously announced recurring actors Gabriel Akuwudike, Yasen ‘Zates’ Atour, Ben Daniels, newcomer Amelia Kenworthy, Nia Towle, Nicholas Woodeson and Sam Hazeldine who takes over the role of orcs leader Adar.

Outside of Hazeldine, no specifics of any of the new actor’s roles have been released. One is quite likely the elf Cirdan, who carries one of the three rings forged by Celebrimbor until he surrenders it to Gandalf.

J.D. Payne and Patrick McKay serve as showrunners on the series which is set in the Second Age of Middle-earth – thousands of years before the events of the Lord of the Rings films and the novels by Tolkien.
