With “Andor” having wrapped up its first season run, Disney+ will return to the “Star Wars” universe with the third season of “The Mandalorian” coming next.
Today, the streamer has announced that the new run will commence March 1st on the Disney+ service and released a new full trailer for the new season. The news came as part of the opening section of Lucasfilm’s panel at Brazil’s CCXP convention.
Pedro Pascal showed up at the panel and was asked off the bat what it was like to be “everyone’s favorite space daddy” to which he says “that’s the greatest honor of my life… it’s an honor to be a daddy”.
Showrunner Jon Favreau says the new season is bigger in scope than previous seasons with more space battles and more Mandalorians.
Previously a teaser released back in September showed Din Djarin (Pascal/Brendan Wayne) reunited with Grogu after the events of “The Book of Boba Fett” and last saw them heading to the planet Mandalore to restore Djarin’s honor.
Carl Weathers, Giancarlo Esposito, and Katee Sackhoff are all confirmed to be returning in the third season, whilst Christopher Lloyd is also confirmed to make a cameo.
