Paramount+ has renewed its Sylvester Stallone-led mob dark comedy/drama series “Tulsa King” for a second season.
According to Nielsen numbers provided by Paramount, the show’s launch on Paramount Network (following an episode of “Yellowstone”) bested HBO’s “House of the Dragon” as cable’s highest-rated series debut this year with 3.7 million viewers, including delayed viewing.
On Paramount+, it shattered records and drove the biggest new sign-up day in history. Taylor Sheridan created the series, while Terence Winter serves as showrunner.
The series stars Stallone as a mafioso released from prison who’s exiled to Oklahoma to rebuild his crime empire. The show has received mixed-to-positive reviews.
