“Vikings: Valhalla” S2 Set For January 12th

Netflix

Netflix has set a January 12th release date for the second season of its sequel series “Vikings: Valhalla”. In addition, first-look photos of the upcoming eight-episode run have been released.

Created by Jeb Stuart as a follow-up to Michael Hirst’s “Vikings,” the show scored a two-season renewal following the first season’s debut in February to very strong numbers.

The drama begins in the early 11th century and chronicles the legendary adventures of some of the most famous Vikings who ever lived – Leif Eriksson (Sam Corlett), Freydis Eriksdotter (Frida Gustavsson), Harald Hardrada (Leo Suter), and the Norman King William the Conqueror.

These men and women will blaze a path as they fight for survival in the ever-changing and evolving world. New to the second season are Bradley James (Harekr), Hayat Kamille (Mariam), Marcin Dorocinski (King Yaroslav the Wise) and Sofya Lebedeva (Elena).
