Amy Adams returns to screens this week with the “Enchanted” sequel “Disenchanted” set to launch on the Disney+ service on Friday.
Appearing at the film’s premiere on Wednesday night, she spoke with Variety on the red carpet and was asked about Henry Cavill’s surprise return as Superman.
She enthusiastically responded: “Isn’t it exciting?… I’m thrilled for him. He’s such a wonderful Superman so I’m very excited for him.”
Adams co-starred as Lois Lane in three films with Cavill in the role. Asked if Lois is coming back, she says she doesn’t know at this point:
“They haven’t spoken to me about it. If it’s me, great. If it’s somebody else, the role of Lois has been filled by so many wonderful actresses in the past, so I’ll support whatever direction they go.”
Cavill confirmed on October 24th in a social media post that he is returning as Superman in a new Warner Bros.-DC movie with the studio currently soliciting pitches from writers.
