Cristin Milioti (“The Resort,” “Made for Love”) has landed the female lead role opposite Colin Farrell in the HBO Max original limited drama series “The Penguin”.
A spinoff of Matt Reeves’ “The Batman,” the series expands upon the world Reeves created and centers on the character played by Farrell in the film.
Milioti will play Sofia Falcone, daughter of Carmine Falcone (John Turturro), who is fighting with The Penguin (Farrell) for control of the city following her father’s removal from power.
The series is executive produced by Reeves, Farrell, Dylan Clark, Lauren LeFranc and Craig Zobel. LeFranc writes and serves as series showrunner, while Zobel directs the first two episodes.
