“Bullet Train” and “Tenet” actor Aaron Taylor-Johnson will join Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt in “The Fall Guy,” a film adaptation of the 1980s adventure television series at Universal Pictures.
Lee Majors, Douglas Barr and Heather Thomas all starred in the original series as stunt performers who used their Hollywood knowledge for their side jobs as bounty hunters – catching swindlers, thieves, bikies, conmen, fugitives and corrupt officials.
The show hailed from famed “Battlestar Galactica,” “Knight Rider” and “Magnum P.I.” creator Glen A. Larson.
David Leitch is helming the film in which Gosling plays a battered and past-his-prime stuntman who finds himself back on a movie with the star (Taylor-Johnson) he worked with long ago and who replaced him. The problem, however, is that the star is now missing.
Blunt plays a prosthetic make-up artist that has a romantic past with our stuntman. Drew Pearce wrote the script while Kelly McCormick produces.
