The next entry in “The Conjuring” cinematic universe, the sequel to the spin-off “The Nun,” has officially begun filming in France.
Filmmaker James Wan, who is producing the new entry, confirmed the news on social media with Michael Chaves directing the project. The original made $365.6 million worldwide back in 2018.
Bonnie Aarons and Taissa Farmiga will reprise their roles while Storm Reid will also star in a leading role. Michael Chaves helms from a script by Akela Cooper, Goldberg and Richard Naing.
“The Nun 2” will be released exclusively in theaters on September 8th 2023.
