Untitled Glee Docuseries
Discovery+ and ID are teaming for a three-part docuseries about the various behind-the-scenes controversies of FOX’s famed “Glee” series from the passing of actors Cory Monteith during production and Naya Rivera in 2020, along with talk of a toxic work environment.

Ample Entertainment will produce the project which will talk with key cast and crew members, and their family and friends, and offer first-hand stories of their time on the show which aired between 2009 and 2015. [Source: Variety]

The Cryptopians
Playground Entertainment (“Dangerous Liaisons,” “Undeclared War”) has optioned the rights to writer/podcaster Laura Shin’s non-fiction book “The Cryptopians” with plans to turn it into a drama TV series.

The series will tell the inside story of the meteoric rise of cryptocurrency giant and Bitcoin rival Ethereum, and features interviews with more than 200 people. [Source: Deadline]

Chicago Med
Brian Tee, who plays Dr. Ethan Choi on “Chicago Med,” will exit the long-running NBC drama on December 7th after eight seasons. Tee has reportedly exited the series in order to spend more time with his family and pursue other career opportunities. [Source: TV Line

Dead Boy Detectives
Michael Beach, Joshua Colley and Lindsey Gort have scored recurring roles in the cast of HBO Max’s drama series “Dead Boy Detectives” based on the DC Comics characters created by Neil Gaiman.

The eight-part series is a ghost story that explores loss, grief, and death through the lens of Edwin Payne (George Rexstrew) and Charles Rowland (Jayden Revri), two dead British teenagers, and their very alive friend, Crystal Palace (Kassius Nelson). [Source: Deadline]

Physical
Zooey Deschanel has joined the cast of the third season of the Apple TV+ half-hour dark comedy series “Physical” alongside Rose Byrne, Dierdre Friel, Della Saba, Lou Taylor Pucci, Paul Sparks, Ashley Liao and Geoffrey Arend. Deschanel will play Kelly, a former sitcom star who jumps into the burgeoning fitness industry. [Source: Variety]

Outlander
Several fan favorites from earlier seasons of Starz’s”Outlander” will return for the show’s seventh season which is now filming in Scotland. Graham McTavish will return as Dougal MacKenzie along with Nell Hudson as Laoghaire Fraser, Steven Cree as Old Ian Murray, Andrew Whipp as Brian Fraser, Layla Burns as Joan MacKimmie, and Lotte Verbeek as Geillis Duncan.
