Kevin Smith To Screen SnyderCut In A Cinema

HBO Max

“Zack Snyder’s Justice League” is coming to the big screen – albeit only one screen once in New Jersey – thanks to filmmaker Kevin Smith.

In the latest episode of his podcast Fatman Beyond, Smith revealed the screening is a part of a series of screening and Q&A sessions called “Directly Responsible: Face-to-Face With Filmmakers At Smodcastle”.

The screening will take place at Smiths’ newly-purchased theater SModcastle in New Jersey with the director hoping to make it a fan-favorite destination.

Speaking about the session, Smith says: “Zack Snyder is coming in the new year, and he was like: ‘I’ve never shown Justice League in a theater once.’ So I was like ‘brother, bring it!'”.

Other notable directors who will make an appearance include Jason Reitman and Joe and Anthony Russo.

Released as a direct-to-HBO-Max feature during the height of the pandemic, the film scored far better reviews than its theatrical cut counterpart with a 71% positive rating on Rotten Tomatoes vs. 39% for the theatrical.
