Damon Wayans and his son Damon Wayans Jr. are set to star in a father-son multi-camera comedy for CBS.
The older Wayans will play a legendary talk radio host and happily divorced ‘Poppa’ who has to drag his grown son (Wayans Jr.) kicking and screaming into adulthood before he turns forty.
The project is being co-written by the elder Wayans and former “Last Man Standing” executive producer Kevin Hench.
It marks the older Wayans’ return to network comedy following a five-season stint on “My Wife and Kids” in the early 2000s. Wayans Jr. has starred in comedies like “Happy Endings,” “New Girl” and “Happy Together”.
