The just-launched teaser trailer for “The Super Marios Bros. Movie” has finally shown off Illumination Entertainment’s film and already fans are heavily dissecting it.
The brief clip in the trailer’s final moments gives us a look at Luigi (Charlie Day) in a spooky chase sequence like something straight out of “Luigi’s Mansion” with hopes there will be callbacks to that game.
More importantly, screenshots are going up everywhere of the looks of Mario, Toad, Luigi and Bowser in the film, and so far reaction has been positive all around.
Even Pratt’s voice, which was looking to be a bone of contention, hasn’t been on the end of any major backlash as yet. The major character not shown is Princess Peach (Anya Taylor Joy).
“The Super Marios Bros. Movie” opens in cinemas next April.
