Al Pacino is set to headline writer-director Alec Griffen Roth’s debut feature “Billy Knight” which is dubbed a “love letter to cinema”.
The story follows grad school students and aspiring filmmakers Alex (Charlie Heaton) and Emily (Diana Silvers). Alex is grappling with the grief of losing his father, a failed screenwriter, who left him a box of unfinished scripts.
Also in the box is a handkerchief with the name ‘Billy Knight’ embroidered on it, and so Alex embarks on a Hollywood adventure to track down this mysterious and reclusive Billy Knight (Pacino).
Autumn Bailey-Ford, Cameron Burnett, Sevier Crespo and Amanda Kiely produce. Filming begins this week in Los Angeles.
