A major new AAA game focusing on the “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” franchise is reportedly being targeted for 2023.
According to FanByte, Paramount and Nickelodeon plan to discuss the title at the upcoming Brand Licensing London convention. Specifics of the game, including an actual title, developer and so forth, are under wraps.
It’s suggested the project will potentially be timed to be close to the release of the new animated movie “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem” by Paramount next year. It would be the biggest ‘Turtles’ title since 2016’s “TMNT: Mutants in Manhattan”.
The news comes as the franchise has seen a resurgence in recent years, especially in the gaming sector with the recently released “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge” and the retro collection “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Cowabunga Collection” both pulling in very good reviews.
