“Ozark” star Jason Bateman is in negotiations to play the villain opposite Taron Egerton in Netflix and Amblin’s action thriller “Carry On”.
Egerton plays Ethan Kopek, a young TSA agent who gets blackmailed by a mysterious traveller (Bateman) to let a dangerous package slip through security and onto a Christmas Day flight.
The project hails from “The Shallows” and “Black Adam” director Jaume Collet-Serra. TJ Fixman and Michael Green penned the script, while Dylan Clark will produce.
Bateman recently worked on the untitled Damon-Affleck project about the rise of Nike as a brand.
