Universal Pictures and Amblin Entertainment’s six-film “Jurassic” franchise has crossed the $6 billion mark globally. The most recent instalment, “Jurassic World Dominion,” crossed $990.4 million on Sunday and is still in play in Japan, which may push it past the $1 billion mark. Overseas, it has surpassed “No Time To Die” as the third highest-grossing Hollywood film of the pandemic era overseas.

Oldboy
NEON has acquired the U.S. distribution rights to Park Chan-wook’s iconic award-winning action film “Oldboy” with plans for a theatrical release of the restored and remastered print to celebrate its 20th anniversary.

Choi Min-sik stars in the film as Oh Dae-Su who, after being kidnapped and imprisoned for 15 years, is released – only to find that he must find his captor in five days. [Source: Deadline]

Nippon TV
Nippon TV has licensed thirteen of its most popular anime titles to Netflix in a global non-exclusive streaming deal which commences this coming Friday, September 2nd.

The list includes “Hunter x Hunter,” “Death Note,” “Ouran High School Host Club,” “Claymore,” “From Me to You,” “Berserk,” “Parasyte-the Maxim,” “Nana,” ‘Hajime no Ippo: The Fighting!,” and “Monster”. [Source: THR]

Disney Star has scored the Indian TV and digital rights to both men’s and women’s global events conducted by the International Cricket Council from 2024 through 2027.
