Netflix has picked up its superhero series “The Umbrella Academy” for a fourth and final season.
The new season of the series has been largely written and Steve Blackman is returning as executive producer and showrunner.
The renewal comes a month after the third season of the comic-based drama hit the streamer.
It opened at #1 in Netflix’s English-language TV weekly rankings with 124.5 million hours viewed. It subsequently spent five weeks in the Top 10.
Blackman is also developing the series adaptation of the PlayStation video game franchise “Horizon Zero Dawn,” along with the International Space Station-set drama series “Orbital” for the streamer.
