“Peaky Blinders” creator Steven Knight and U.K. acting veteran Stephen Graham are re-teaming for the twelve-part original period drama series “A Thousand Blows” at Disney+ and Hulu/Star.
The drama follows the fortunes of Hezekiah and Alec, two best friends newly arrived from Jamaica.
Fighting for survival in the violent melting pot of Victorian London’s East End, they come up against dangerous, veteran boxer Sugar Goodson (Graham).
Knight serves as creator, writer and executive producer credits, while Graham stars and executive produces. Tinge Krishnan serves as lead director.
Hannah Walters, Damian Keogh, Kate Lewis, Tom Miller, and Sam Myer will also executive produce along with award-winning broadcaster and historian Professor David Olusoga.
