NBCUniversal has announced that starting September 19th, fans of NBC current-season shows will no longer find episodes available the next day on Hulu.
Instead, Peacock’s Premium tier will become the streaming home for next-day access to current seasons of NBC series after they clawed back the rights from Hulu.
NBCU had already pulled Bravo next-day shows off Hulu earlier this year, but now all new episodes under the company’s umbrella shifts over to Peacock.
This includes the “Law & Order” and “Chicago” franchises, SNL, “La Brea,” “New Amsterdam,” “The Voice,” “America’s Got Talent,” Jimmy Fallon & Seth Meyers’ talk shows, and upcoming series like the “Quantum Leap” sequel series.
To soften the blow, NBCU is launching a special offer through the month of September – new Peacock Premium customers will be able to sign up for just $1.99 per month or $19.99 for one year. Peacock’s paid customer base remained flat for the second quarter of this year at 13 million.
