Hot off rave review for “Emily the Criminal,” actress Aubrey Plaza will join the ensemble cast of Francis Ford Coppola’s passion project “Megalopolis”.
Adam Driver, Forest Whitaker, Nathalie Emmanuel, Jon Voight and Laurence Fishburne star in the contemporary drama in which “the fate of Rome haunts a modern world unable to solve its own social problems in this epic story of political ambition, genius and conflicted love.”
The just under $100 million project, independently financed by Coppola, begins production this Fall. Coppola will direct from his own script.
Plaza will be seen later this year in the second season of HBO’s “The White Lotus”.
