IDW Entertainment has announced five TV series are in development based on graphic novels and comics from IDW Publishing and Top Shelf Productions.

“Dark Spaces: Wildfire” is at Universal Content Productions and follows a group of female inmates turned firefighters in California whose desperate heist of a burning mansion will lead them to the score of a lifetime – and a deadly trap.

“The Delicacy” is set at Warner Bros. Television and about a pair of rural Scottish brothers who try to compete in London’s restaurant scene with the help of rare and delicious fungi.

“Brutal Nature” is set at Anima Studios and follows a collection of masks that transforms a young Mayan man into innumerable beasts and monsters to beat back the encroaching Spanish empire.

“Ballad For Sophie” is being done by Universal International Studios and follows a young journalist prompting a reclusive musical superstar to finally break his silence.

Finally, there’s “Rivers” which is set up at HBO Max and follows three ordinary weirdos and one recurring dream. IDWE is also working with Cartoon Network Studios on a soon-to-be-announced animated project.

Previous IDW properties that have been adapted for the screen include Netflix’s “Locke and Key” which gets a third and final season this week, along with single-season series “October Faction” and “V Wars”. An Apple TV+ series adaptation of “Surfside Girls” arrives next week.
