A live-action film adaptation of iconic arcade game “Pac-Man” is in the works at Bandai Namco Entertainment and Wayfarer Studios (“Clouds,” “The Senior”).
Pac-Man was a coin-operated staple, a game in which you play a yellow circle with a mouth who must move through a maze, eating pellets while being pursued by colorful ghosts as the difficulty increased.
The project will be based on an original idea from Lightbeam Entertainment’s Chuck Williams (“Sonic the Hedgehog”) who will produce alongside Justin Baldoni, Manu Gargi, Tim Kwok and Andrew Calof.
The game previously spawned multiple sequels and variations, a Hanna–Barbera cartoon and a Disney XD series.
