“Lupin” star Omar Sy will lead John Woo’s reimagining of his own 1989 crime drama film classic “The Killer” for Peacock.

Woo penned and directed the original about a disillusioned assassin (Chow Yun-fat) who accepts one last hit in the hopes of using his earnings to restore vision to a female singer (Sally Yeh) he accidentally blinded.

Specifics of the reimagining’s story are under wraps, but Woo returns to helm the new take, which is being penned by Matthew Stuecken, Josh Campbell, Eran Creevy and Brian Helgeland.
